Online workshop: AI Readiness for SMEs

A hands-on working session for small and mid-sized commerce businesses. We go through our four Knowledge Hub guides live — vendor evaluation, customer data, the EU AI Act checklist and the first 90 days of adoption. You leave with a readiness checklist filled in for your own business, not a slide deck.

Cost FreeFormat Capped group, recordedDate To be confirmed
Planned Late 2026 Tallinn or Vilnius

Baltics AI Meetup #2

Our second in-person meetup moves outside Latvia, because BAICA is a Baltic association and not a Riga one. Same format as the first: practitioner-led sessions and small-group work, with a commerce business walking through what they tried, what it cost and what actually happened. City, date and venue are announced here once confirmed.

Planned 2026/27 academic year Baltic universities

Student sessions

Career-oriented introductions to AI in commerce, run with universities and student groups in Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, plus routes into volunteering on BAICA's research and events work. We are in active outreach to set these up.

The AI native company workshop

A working day for senior leadership on turning broad AI ambitions into one defined, buildable use case. Participants brought a real business problem and left with a use case, the data and process requirements behind it, and an implementation sequence. Hosted with scandiweb, whose team has implemented AI in digital commerce for large international retailers and publishers.

Time 10:00–15:00Venue Citadeles iela 9A, RigaFor Founders, CEOs, COOs, CIOs, CTOs and senior technology and growth leads

MappingEach participant mapped their own candidate use cases across commerce, internal workflows, customer service, data analysis and decision-making
SelectionNarrowing to one use case per organisation, chosen on measurability rather than ambition
RequirementsThe data and process prerequisites that use case actually needs before anything is built
RoadmapAn implementation sequence and the next concrete step, including what a 1–2 day proof of concept would cover

Every participant left with a defined use case, an implementation roadmap, its data and process requirements, and a next step — with the option of a proof of concept inside one to two days. Read the recap.

Our event formats

  • In-person meetups. Working sessions in Baltic capitals built around real practitioner stories — a commerce business explains what they tried with AI, what it cost and what actually happened.
  • Online workshops. Working sessions, not lectures. You bring your business context; we bring a structured exercise based on our published guides. Capped groups, free, recorded.
  • Research briefings. When we publish research we walk through it live, show where the data came from and take challenges from the audience. Open method, open Q&A.
  • Student sessions. Shorter formats run with universities and student groups: career-oriented introductions to AI in commerce and routes into volunteering with BAICA's research work.
