Recap: The AI native company workshop, Riga
On 29 July a room of founders, CEOs and technology leads spent a working day in Riga doing one thing: turning a broad interest in AI into a single use case each that could actually be built.

The format
No slides about what AI might do one day. Participants brought a real problem from their own organisation, mapped their candidate use cases across commerce, internal workflows, customer service, data analysis and decision-making, and then narrowed to one. The selection criterion that did most of the work was measurability: whether anyone in the business already watches the number the use case would move.
What people left with
- One defined use case, written down, rather than a list of five.
- The data and process prerequisites that use case needs before anything gets built.
- An implementation sequence and a concrete next step.
- For several participants, the scope of a proof of concept that could be stood up inside one to two days.
The pattern worth repeating
The most useful hour was the narrowing, not the ideation. Most rooms produce candidate use cases easily; what stalls programmes is running five of them at once and finishing none. That is the same conclusion our first 90 days guide reaches from the other direction, and seeing it hold up in a room of operators was the clearest signal of the day.
The workshop was hosted with scandiweb, whose team has implemented AI in digital commerce for large international retailers and publishers. Details of the session are on our Events page, and the next dates go to newsletter subscribers first.
