Published guides

Our first four practical guides were published in June 2026. Each is a focused, free read of about six minutes.

• AI vendor evaluation guide — Published June 2026. The questions to ask before signing with any AI vendor.
• Customer data and AI — Published June 2026. Using customer data in AI without breaching GDPR or customer trust.
• The first 90 days of AI adoption — Published June 2026. A structured plan for a commerce business's first three months with AI.

How we work

Sources before conclusions. We start from what can be verified: official statistics, corporate disclosures, regulatory text, and reported interviews. Every figure we publish carries a link to where it came from, and we say plainly where a number does not exist rather than estimating one.

No vendor sponsorship. Our research is funded by BAICA and carries no sponsorship from AI vendors, platforms or consultancies. No third party sees a publication before it is public or influences what we look into.

Board review. Analysis and final text are reviewed and approved by the BAICA Board before publication. Errors found after publication are corrected openly, with a dated correction note.

Open licences. Everything we publish is released under an open licence, so it can be quoted, taught from, and built on without asking us first.

What we are working on

Our research agenda is shaped by the questions members and event attendees keep raising. Current threads: how Baltic commerce teams are meeting the EU AI Act transparency duties in practice, and what separates AI pilots that reach production from the ones that stall.
