Terms of use
These terms apply to your use of baica.net and the resources BAICA publishes on it.
Last updated: 10 July 2026
Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you and Baltic AI Commerce Association (biedrība), registered in Latvia, reg. no. 40008360763, Bertas Pīpiņas iela 4, Riga, LV-1010, Latvia ("BAICA", "we", "us"). By accessing or using baica.net (the "Site") you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Who can use the site
You may use the Site if you can form a binding contract with BAICA and only in compliance with these Terms and all applicable law. If you use the Site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms.
Content and intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, BAICA and its licensors own all content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, and research reports. Research reports and educational resources published by BAICA are, by default, released under an open licence noted on each resource; where no licence is stated, content is provided for personal, non-commercial reference only.
The BAICA name and logo are trademarks of the association. You may not use them without our prior written permission, except to accurately reference BAICA or link to the Site.
User submissions
If you submit content to BAICA — for example research input, a case study, or an enquiry — you keep ownership of it, but you grant BAICA a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, adapt, and publish that content for BAICA's research, education, and communications, in anonymised or aggregated form where agreed. You confirm that you have the right to submit that content and that it does not infringe anyone's rights or applicable law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site in a way that violates any law or regulation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, its systems, or its users' accounts.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site, including by transmitting viruses, malware, or automated scripts that impose an unreasonable load.
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Site except with written permission.
- Impersonate BAICA or misrepresent your affiliation with it.
Third-party links and tools
The Site may link to third-party websites and tools. BAICA does not control those services and is not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Following a link is at your own risk and is governed by that third party's terms.
No professional advice
Research, playbooks, and other resources published on the Site are for general information. They are not legal, tax, compliance, financial, or professional advice, and should not be relied on as such. Always consult a qualified professional before making decisions based on our resources.
Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. BAICA does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any content is accurate, complete, or up to date.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BAICA and its members, volunteers, and contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site or its content. BAICA's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Site is limited to EUR 100. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Latvian or EU law, including liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify BAICA against any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your unlawful use of the Site.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Latvia. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site will be brought exclusively before the competent courts of Riga, Latvia, unless mandatory consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
