Announcing Baltics AI Meetup #1 — Riga, 27 July

BAICA's first public event takes place on Monday 27 July 2026 in Riga. Baltics AI Meetup #1 is a free full-day event for anyone working in — or curious about — AI in commerce.

15 July 2026

On the agenda

  • Arrivals and networking — coffee, introductions and getting to know the room.
  • The PATH framework and applied AI in commerce — a working session on how AI is being deployed in production today.
  • Group problem-solving — small-group activity to map real problems and goals your business is facing.
  • Wrap-up and next steps — how to move from discussion to a lightweight proof of concept.

Why this format

Most AI events in commerce are a sequence of vendor demos. This one is built the other way round: the room brings the problems, and the sessions are structured working time rather than presentations. That is deliberate. The questions Baltic commerce teams keep raising with us are not about what AI can do in principle, they are about which of it survives contact with a real catalogue, a real support queue, and a real budget.

So the middle of the day is given to small groups working through an actual problem or goal from an attending business, and the last half hour is spent on what a lightweight proof of concept would involve. Nobody leaves with a slide deck.

Who it is for

  • Commerce leaders deciding where AI fits, and where it does not.
  • Ecommerce, marketing and operations teams already running AI tools who want to compare notes with peers rather than with vendors.
  • Developers and consultants building AI features for retail clients.
  • Students interested in AI and commerce careers, who are explicitly welcome.

No technical background is assumed and the sessions are in English.
